Oil on Canvas, 20x18 inches. This painting is of a bust of Flora by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. I chose to paint this cast because of its soft features and delicate transitions. So much character is described with amazing subtlety. I wanted this piece to evoke Carpeaux's subtlety in paint.
